Diagnostic Criteria

A. Recent hallucinogen use.

B. Development of an Organic Delusional Syndrome that persists beyond 24 hours after cessation of hallucinogen use.

C. Not due to any other physical or mental disorder, such as Schizophrenia.

Differential Diagnosis

Nonorganic Psychotic Disorders

A preexisting nonorganic psychotic disorder should be considered if a Hallucinogen Delusional Disorder persists.
